    Scout Regt Telescope and Tripod

Spotting/Telescopes used with the Britishicon snipers. I had posted about mine when I first got it about 17 yrs ago and now being retired and trying to look busy to keep from doing some honey-do things the wife is thinking up. I thought I would re-post the old post as it as it is pretty interesting about the telescopes. My post on the scope and tripod I have is on the last page. Anyway, here are some photos of mine again. What is interesting with mine is the tripod is an original arsenal made/or converted tripod not just a cut down one along with the arsenal made, leather carrier for the shorter leg tripod.

Found it! knew I remember an old post about the tripods. Here it is, interesting info on the tripods. The one I have is apparently a WWII Arsenal conversion by the Canadianicon govt from a WWI long legged platform, The leather sling also appears to have been originally made by the government for it, Ray

I've got one of the cut-down Parker-Hale ones somewhere, (it was being thrown out) and it's pretty difficult to tell that it was cut down.

Hi Ray, I am actually a member of the GW Forum, but I don't post on there as a rule, although (jesting apart) there is lots of interesting stuff on there. Must check it out more often.
