Just finished watching Ken Burns:The Civil War on Netflix I recommend this its 9 episodes and has a great presentation of the why's, wherefores and battles.

Lastly it points out that 4 million men were involved in the 4 years of fighting with over 600,000 killed or from other causes higher than all the wars added together that America has been involved in.
It showed what the U.S went through the great Generals on both sides how they won & lost battles. A 10/10 from me & the far reaching impacts on people far & wide.
