It is pretty and it seems like the new breed of buyers like em that way. I've always thought there was too much wow factor in IP's and M1A1's too. If one wants either of those then they will have to pay up for sure, but at what point does realistic bidding end and silliness, stupidity and unethical behavior begin?
According to WB comes home, IP did not receive any Rock-Ola barrels till Feb. 1943. They only got 50 in all of 1942 so none dated 1-43. The front sight is not number stamped too. It is stamped IPN but it doesn't look right. The stock and stampings. It does look new one could call it that and not just oiled as the sell stated. The I cut doesn't seem right or is it me? It seems to be tilted to the left at the top. The hammer spring is a later one being 26 coils. So much not right with this but unbelievable money. Maybe I should sell mine at this rate and nothing on it is fake.

In feb barrels received from rockola were probably 1-43 or 12-42. The real question was it a real rockola Barrel Be interesting to see what the forum detectives find wrong
