Just picked this up. French model 1884 dated 1885. Cant find much out about it. Is it Rare, common? Any info helpful. Sorry for the poor pictures.

It's a French Mle 1884 Gras-Kropatschek unless I am mistaken, though I am no expert on French firearms.

"...Mle 1884 Gras-Kropatschek..." Yep. I'm guessing St. Etienne. Can't quite make it out in the picture. The 'More" link at the bottom works. More and more detailed pictures.
