I was unaware that a march had been written for the Eagle Squadrons. That's touching. In 1939 my uncle ran across the border to Canada and joined the RCAF, where he trained as a pilot. He was posted to England where he transitioned to the Spitfire. He was preparing to be posted to one of the Eagle Squadrons when he was killed in a training accident. It's touching to know that England remembers.

Bob,
Great honour not only to the American pilots that came over to fly for the RAF before they needed to, but not forgetting also the Canadian lads that came too in vast numbers to fight tyranny.
Sad days when the Tornado Squadrons retire from service with the RAF to make way for the F35.
One thing our military do well, is pay respect where its due, and do an outstanding job all round.
RIP to the thousands that died in Bomber Command and the USAF and Canadian pilots that flew too, every soul made a difference to Europe and the world as we know it today!
