    I suspect it will either be the identity of the contractor/subcontractor who made the bolt body, or it will be an examiner's identifying mark. However, others may be able to be more specific for you. If the bore is decent & the bolt & rifle body serials match you're off to a good start. The bolt serial will be on the rear face of the bolt handle.
