    Unusual Cleaning Brush

This steel bore brush came in a wartime K98icon, RG34 cleaning kit and I haven't seen one like it before. Is this brush German, is it for the K98 and should it be in the RG34 cleaning kit, please? Is it just an odd brush that has found it's way into the kit or perhaps it's a MG34/42 bore brush? Many thanks for any help.
