Charlie. The metal stock was always close to impossible to find for me, looked for years as I had the wood without metal. Then I remembered
that I had a broken M1A1stock, someone inletted it for the M2 parts using a wood chisel, really bad inside, then they screwed a Thompson
grip on the bottom. But the metal was in good condition. I got this stock out of a gunshop that was closing, also got the leather carbine
scabbard from there too. I did have some M1A1 grips marked SA on the bottom but sold them. I real do not know where M1A1 metal could
be found ? Robert
