HD Military was 46-49. I have a 47 and 49 model. Some were assembled and shipped as late as 51, but they had officially moved on by 50 to the GE series.

Original HD Military mags as sold before 1950 would have been the 'finger mags' with a small button on side of follower. Around 1950 the rolled feedlip mags were developed and the HA/HB/HD/HE series still used the small button mags.

I don't know when the two-toned magazines came out, but the issue is that the 'slant' magazines were used by the pistols up to the military grip frame around 1965, and still sold for the Sharpshooter or slant grip citation, up through the early 1970s. However, if the magazine had a large button on the side, it was not for the 1940s HD Military pistol- even though it would work in them.

I see people trying to sell the finger mags for around $150 each, and the 'normal' slant grip HS magazines for $70-100. I don't know if they are successful or not.

I just know to avoid the cadmium plated ones, as the plating can separate from the mag tube and result in swelling that stops it from feeding properly.

Hope something here is useful.
