You can also search this site and I am sure you will find plenty of threads with excellent advise reference how to disassemble and reassemble your Enfield. You also may be surprised at what you find under the wood, such as notes and other personal items. Enjoy!
Wow that sounds interesting, though noting that it appears my woodwork has been refurbished, I don't think I'd be lucky enough to find any hidden gems. Would certainly be interested to see what sort of items have been unearthed! yet another thread search lol

Personally I would stick to what is on this site and avoid you tube granted there are some well meaning people out there but this place is where the real knowledge base is for just about everything to do with milsurps weapons not just the Lee Enfield. Allot of the information contained on this site is from the hard won school of hard knocks by military trained armourers whom actually worked on these weapon systems like the Lee Enfield, Bren, Vickers, Garand & M1icon carbine, 50 & 30 browning MG's so on and so forth.
So take your time view and digest the threads with the info and if your stuck stop and ask here it may take a couple of days to get replies as people have other things in their life but they are all genuine in the help they give here for nought just to see the job progress to completion in the correct and accepted methods.

I am already finding that this forum is very friendly and open to sharing information. I am scouring posts for anything that may help and can safely say "winning". I did compare some LE stripping videos on YouTube and after watching a few it becomes evident that there are some hacks and there are some more schooled individuals. I'm not new to rifles so I am slowly putting the information together and learning lots!! You are right, this forum has so much to offer!

Any idea what the BA on the Bolt stands for?

The markings on the bolt that I have worked out so far, and correct me if I'm wrong, are:

    BOLT
    • Serial Number *****
    • Proof Mark - Crossed Pennants (Bolt Proof)
    • M (Metal Composition Specification)
    • BA (unknown)
    • Broad Arrow (Defence Property)
    • Inspection Mark - Crown on H8 on Italic B (H8 – Inspectors Mark, B – Sparkbrook, Birmingham)

Some books on the Lee Enfields if you were after 2 books the bottom left one pic #1 Skennertons expanded book and his pic #2 Broad Arrow the latter is a fairly expensive to buy especially in H/C.
I was pretty lucky with my copy snagging No.211 of 300 signed H/C's by Ian for a not too expensive price still it was not a cheap copy to get.
