Clive Cussler passes away at age of 88
Clive Cussler has been my favorite author for many years. His books are a mixture of real history, historical fiction and modern day events. Dirk Pitt was his "James Bond", an adventurer of the seas with NUMA as his vessel.
He is a massive writer of best sellers but I'm somewhat surprised to have found out about his death from my facebook page, his wife just posted a notification.
In real life, he was instrumental in the recovery of the CSS Hunley.
If you haven't read any of his books, I highly recommend them.
He will be missed.

I've read one or two of his books decades ago. The one I remember involved a mystery aboard a flying boat in the days just before WWII.

I saw lots of his documentary work, sad to hear.

the "novels" have been basically ghost written for several decades and simply have his photo on the back cover.
NOT much of anything in decades... NUMA has done a very few neat things in its times.
