A mate from work back in the day in Oz, Patrick 'Spuds' Murphy, ex-SBS, was one of the mob that did those raids. He was later captured by the Chinese during the retreat for Chosen when he and other Boot Necks were attached to USMC. He spent nearly two years in hospital recovering from his time as a POW before returning to service.
