Thumbs up FN Browning High Power M1946 – Danish Army

Followed me home last week. Guess I'll have to keep it?
Just acquired it two days ago, and now very anxious to expend some 9mm ammo.
I have no idea if that finish is original or later update.

The finish is aftermarket. They were usually blued.

    Nice pistol BTW.

I have imported a few in to the UKicon and they have all been blued, they normally have a spare magazine with them as well.

    Thanks.
I figured the finish was too nice to be original. But I think it sure makes for an agreeable looking piece.
Kind of like a dark, charcoal-grey parkerizing.

Nice, nice, nice...now to warm it up and smooth that finish up a bit. A quick thousand ought to help. Wish I was closer, I just happen to have a box of just about that amount...nice pistol.

Any recommendations how to go about smoothing that finish?

Usually use and cleaning will smooth out new Parkerising over time. I wouldn't do anything 'aggressive' to it.

Smoothing the finish? Daily carry and lots of holster use and lots of shooting should be more than enough
