Years ago, 19 in fact, I had an unissued Remington made M1917 with it's bayonet, unissued as well. There was grease still in the action and on the bayonet. Sadly, I sold it because I was offered three times what I paid for it from a collector from Connecticut. I never shot it because it was unfired and unissued. I had a second Remington that I fired and boy was it accurate. I used to fire it at Marine Corp League competitions all the time with great results. I sold that one too.
