    Ethiopian rifle slings

Anyone have any ideas of what Ethiopians were using for slings when they were carrying Berdan rifles?

Hole through the stock, rawhide strip in a ring, sort of Sovieticon style except not a dog collar. My Berdan has one surviving rawhide ring.
