    "...High power fits and the 1911 does not..." That'd suggest it might well be Indian Army issue and just looks like a 1911A1 holster. I'm not seeing anywhere that India ever issued American kit before or after Independence in 1947. Sikh's have been in the Bengal and Indian, Britishicon East Indian Army since 1847. There are 20 battalions in the Sikh Regiment. It is the most decorated regiment of the Indian Army too.
