    Unusual mark on Mk1* Lee Metord bolt body

    Has anyone any ideas what this mark denotes - its on a bolt from an 1890 Sparkbrook Mk1* Lee Metford

    It seems a Frenchicon proof mark, but I have never seen it with AN.

    That was closest I could get (but an AR, not an AN) a Frenchicon smokeless powder proof mark - the crown format was the same
