    The stock has filler and been sanded? Therefore the finish is hokey...what else? The scope reticle pattern is interesting, I'd like to shoot one. Looks like a range finder at 200m, if the standing man fits inside the lines, it's 200m.

    Yep. Another misleading description for a new collector to get taken in by a less than honest dealer.
    No restoration???? As Jim mentions above, a person would have to be blind not to notice the stock being heavily sanded with filler in all the dings. The mono-pod is for a standard 99 rifle, not the longer pod for the 97...and the spring set is missing.

    On the plus side, it is a real 97 and scope. The reticle pattern on 97 scopes are made this way. It's just a shame that someone is going to spend this kind of money and not have a collectable condition rifle.
