    Thanks Jim. I remember seeing them in the 70s and 80s when I had more time to go to the gun shows. As a collector of military service weapons, I enjoy finding the first version/iteration of weapon. The G41 was Germanyicon's first "Garandicon" and I find it is not as awkward as many shooters claim. Yes, I do understand that I would not want to clean it while on the Eastern Front. However, the rate of rife and accuracy seems good enough for 100-200 yards. Next on the list of "firsts," the SVT-38. Randy
