Austrian M1 ammo
Scored 640 rds in clips for good price. head stamp is OJP 59, which after research turns out to be made in Austria 1959. I have to assume it may be corrosive and certainly Berdan primed. Since it was loaded in garand clips I assume it was made to shoot in Garands. Didnt know Austria loaded this ammo. Anyone have any first hand knowledge of this ammo? Have to clean it rd by rd as it is pretty dirty from storage in wooden crate. Also have spots of laquer on them, not much though. Lets have some thoughts on this stuff, please. Thanks

Not considered to be the best food around for your M1. Some years have been seen with a large pressure variations. Early years were corrosive primers but later they made it with non corrosive primers. Always assume corrosive primers and clean accordingly.
