    Magazine ID

Sorry if I should not have started a new thread on magazine ID. Did not know to place it in the other Magazine ID thread.
I just joined a couple days ago and thanks for opportunity to be on this forum.
I have a magazine that came with a 1911 I had once. Does anyone know anything about why a G is on it like a General Shaver magazine but has Mexico on it.
    Thanks

Thanks, here is another pic. It is pinned . Bought the pistol, which was made in 1918, and the mag came with it. The gentleman did not know where he got the mag. I sold the gun about 20 years ago and a two toned mag was with it too. I kept this mag and some weird looking copper colored "spacers" that were on the inside of the grips.

Copper spacers used to add weight to absorb recoil. Faster second shot.

Maybe I misworded by saying "spacers " inside grips. These were used to thicken the grip panels.
