Done at last, my SMLE book

I am bending the rules a bit so I hope this will pass the moderator’s approval. I just wanted to give you all a heads up before I put this out for the general public.

My COVID project is done and printed. A Collector’s View, The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered to add to the fun and replace my signature (due to the wonderful world of identity theft)

I started this book to fill in my days at home for my own enjoyment and in the end, it became a quest to see if I could finish it as it became a much larger book than planned. As it grew I decided not to include the .22 versions of the SMLE thus I have at least another book to do.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end (?) of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.

While writing some of my fellow collectors showed interest in obtaining a copy when I completed it, so on a leap of faith, I printed out a small batch to sell. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping.

In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail.

International priority mail:
UK is $40
Canada is $29
Germany is $39
Spain is $39
Australia and New Zealand are only accepting Priority Express mail at $70/book or $134 for up to 10 books together.

I love the concept, from a collector point of view. A good deal of Lee Enfield owners do not grasp, or have the same views, as die hard collectors do.
