    Trench Gun Magazine Plug Help

This magazine plug was acquired several years ago with an original "W" bayonet adapter. Some of the other Winchester trench gun plugs don't indicate a hole next to the stud and I'm curious what the hole was for and what gun it was used on. It also has a small stud on the opposite side of the screw but it's smaller than the mag tube holes.

If anyone could help ID this part it would be appreciated it.

    Thanks
