    2 More SRS Checks Please...

Jim I have 2 more trapdoors I would like you to check please. These are my daughters boyfriend Paul and his fathers. They were a huge help to me during this endeavor so I said I would ask about theirs. I'm not forgetting help from you and butlersrangers, thank you both.

    1st is a carbine S/N 379753 I don't know the model.

2nd is a rifle S/N 55140 with an 1873 block. This rifle is a bit of an oddball. 73 block, a ramrod setup, completely unmarked lock plate. My guess is it was either a very late complete rebuild or it could be a Bannerman special. Paul has a wishful thought of it being some kind of one off experimental or trials rifle but I have my doubts. Thank you, Bill

So...379753, closest is 379751. It was issued to troop "C" 10th Cav. Thing is that doesn't apply like a blanket to this one. It too is a carbine.

55140 has nothing even close. Except for one carbine before it there are just rifles. Most appear to be '73 rifles.

    This from SRS #1.
    Regards, Jim
