I agree, if I was going to purchase something that expensive, I wouldn't do it without running it through the gambit on this forum first haha. If it passed muster by the experts on this forum then I might take a shot at it but otherwise, I would just stay away. You truly realize how many fakes are out there when joining a forum like this one. People who buy things like that without research are almost guaranteed to go wrong these days

This is exactly why I like collecting all the weird and less popular milsurps (Steyrs, Carcanos, etc.) simply because there is basically no fakes. Those few that are fakes are usually faked to try and make them look like something they are not (i.e. stamping a ton of waffenamts on a M95 rifle to say it was used by Nazi Germany).
