"An officer you say? Well, that's some consolation I suppose!"
An unusually cheerful group and a charming looking girl, with good teeth running in the family too.
Papa resembles some figure I can't put a name on...hiding his smoke behind his right leg. Mama must have been quite a looker too, and from her unusual hairstyle in no hurry to become matronly either.
The photo has been retouched; see the groom's right hand and looks like the collar opening as well.
The best man's left pocket is open - from where he kept the ring?
The oldest boy aware he's losing his sister and and the younger not old enough to see it?
Let's hope she wasn't a war widow and he didn't return too different from the man she married.

Reason: More
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

Just as an afterthought I put "née Wells" and "Evelyn" into Google and this came up first: Evelyn Monro (née Wells) - Womens Land Army.co.uk
Here's the door of Clacton Church. I'd say case closed.
Though the church door has had a "medieval" restoration by the look of it.
Reading that page on the WLA a bit further answered my last sentence above I see.

The son might want that photo if you don't Flying 10uk. Had a very distant relation turn up in the UK who was very glad to have copies of what few photos I had of his mum as she had thrown all her photos away in a fit of pique earlier in life. The lady might enjoy a visit if you're not too far from Frinton-on-Sea and she could probably tell you how you came to have a copy of her wedding photo.

Postscript
I recently came across this postcard (Niagara Falls) which was apparently sent by Evelyn to my family not long after she arrived in Canada. The postmark appears to be dated September 6th 1945.
