If I was an "official" attending a Russian Banquet I wouldn't eat, drink or touch anything and would probably arrive wearing full NBC kit or Hazmat protection. I'd be frightened of having a "highly radioactive-Mickey-Finn" slipped into my drink or surfaces that I may touch having been sprayed with some sort of deadly chemical or nerve agent.

Of course I was speaking merely of "Cold War" days.

Now that Germanyicon at least is "at war with Russiaicon" according to her greenshirt defence minister I suppose you take your chances!

But when the Leopard tanks arrive in Ukraine will people start calling them "panzer" since that is the german word for tank or will they still be called tanks so as not to "upset" Russia?

I doubt the Russians will be any more upset than they are now, though they have reportedly stated that the use of DU projectiles in those tanks they will consider to be the introduction of "dirty" nuclear devices into the conflict, and will respond accordingly.

One could ponder on that for a few moments?
