Addendum: Speaking of M85 in auctions, any results on 00248F? It just got listed at Rock Island Auction: https://www.rockislandauction.com/de...fle-with-scope . Quite a high estimate.

Just a few days older than I am . Thanks for checking! Usually I would say no chance it would sell in the estimated range, but with Rock Island Auction you never know ..

I bid on 00248F today and it quickly escalated past the point where I felt comfortable paying for it. I think the final bid was $9500. I really wanted it but not that badly. I'm a little depressed now.

Holy crap, that is crazy. It even escalated over the original estimate. At which price did you estimate it to be?

I thought it would go for about $6k-$7k. I bid up to $6500 if I remember correctly. I was disappointed but with the buyers premium and tax the final price was well over $10,000. There are so many high priced guns that sell in their auctions that $10,000 doesn't seem like much in comparison. You get a little numb to just how high the numbers are.

Just saw that 17,5% BP added to a $ 9500 hammer price resulted in a $ 11.167 selling price. Wow!

The one in the UKicon originally went on the market for 2k more than current asking price- has some very nice memorabilia with it- brochure is different to the one in my collection, would love to get my hands on that and the parts catalogue.
