curious about front and rear sight differences

IMO the straight ears are fake or a bad repro. I don't think SA made that sight with straight ears.

I would think that the front sights were produced straight and formed after machining vs. machined out of solid. Although it is unlikely that an unformed sight would have made it through final inspection.
