Kind of depends on where you are selling it. Some states pull higher prices than others. Seller will often tell me that they have done their research and see the gun selling at a certain price online, at which time I remind them that they have to pay a fee to ship it to the broker, pay a fee for the FFL paperwork, and then pay a portion of the sale price as a sales commission. Once we deduct all of that, we usually come to a fair agreement. In California, your M44 is probably going to sell at around 450-550 depending upon the condition. The last one I sold went at 325 a couple of years ago and then I purchased an all-matching specimen a year later at 425. Now that the pandemic is over, it appears that prices are still elevated but dropping. Hope that helps!
