    New Book on SADF

I have two of this fellows' books on Britishicon webbing and they are great.

I'm not as interested in South Africa, but the book looks awesome. Figured I'd share it as there is a wide variety of interest here.

I've had, still have some and used lots of the SADF stuff. Some at the quick glance I only aknlowledge the existance of. Seems a relatively complete glossy.

Seven days left and still a little short of the goal for publication. This is going to be a very limited run. Better get it while you can even if only slightly interested in the subject.

A while ago one South African army veteran told me about his military service and it was a most interesting story. It's a pity more South Africans don't speak about their military service.

There are many books being published on our war in South Africa. Usually limited in number but readily available. Many interesting personal stories.

I just hate seeing the book not get published. I wasn't going to order it to be honest but after actually seeing a pre-print copy of it and liking his other books I figured I would. Getting down to the wire and he's still $500 short. I've never been involved with a project that didn't get funded before so I don't know what happens next. If they try it again or if it's just done. I'm not out any money, it doesn't get collected unless it's funded fully. I just won't get the book.

I found the book about Cuito Cuanavale very interesting.
Especially the real conditions in which the SADF were sent there to fight a much larger enemy force.
What you always heard here was quite different...

WOW, I checked this morning, and it was $500 short. Just checked and it's $500 over so it will get printed. If it was you guys, thanks.

Yes, I haven't repeated what the SADF veteran told me because it was a private conversation but it was an interesting personal story.

The book came Monday and is really nice. I haven't had a chance to do more than glance through it quick but excellent photos of weapons, and gear throughout. Good quality paper, etc.
