    Springfield 1903

I bought a Springfield 1903 last weekend at a gunshow , it’s finish has been parkerized, barrel SA/42, serial number in the 994,000 area, it has a C stock with no markings on the outside, I think the bolt might be Smith Corona has an X on top of the bolt handle, the stock has no dings this rifle is in amazing shape, bore bright and shiny, any of you gurus have any comments on this? I can’t wait to shoot

OP's pics of 1903 rifle...nice rifle. I'm thinking this rifle is a recent (Relatively) put together rifle?

Thanks browningautorifle for posting my pics, it sure seems and feels like it, there is no rattle it is solid, I paid 1,200 for her, I had to have it at all cost!?

No doubt, but seems very well done. Maybe just refinishing and stock. Now ready to hit the range again!

I always like to check the headspace before shooting

Good looking rifle built on a 1918 reciever. I hope it shoots equally as good as it looks.
I agree with checking the head space especially with a non-matching bolt in there.
