    Rifle serial number H32885 was part of batch 49 which consisted of 39 weapons and has a recorded conversion date of 19th January 1972, out to store at Donnington.

    Hello Cedric,
    May I ask if you sure the rifle is 1943 dated? With a five digit 'H' prefix serial starting with a '3' like yours I'd expect it to be a 1944 rifle. Just an observation.

    71 is stamped on the left side of the receiver, though... Does it conflict with your data?

    Roger : it's the date stamped on the left side as I can see on the pics shown to me...

    Many thanks. If it is indeed a 1943 rifle the serial number is quite unusual. Many thanks for clarifying. Any chance of a pic of the markings?

    It certainly looks genuine enough, although I'm not sure if it may have been re-serialled. Can't see well enough. Does have the look of a genuine rifle though.
