    Help Needed for Winchester

I received my first spring tube carbine from CMPicon tuesday and need some help on how to remove the spring tube (cleaning the accumulated funk). Was thinking of tapping with a wood dowel thru rear receiver mounting hole, but would appreciate advice.

Serial #1217920, Bavarian Forestry Police/Austrian return. Non-Winchester parts, (Riesch) Type III WA hammer, Type II RI sear, Type IV circle SS flip safety, Type IIA AU mag catch. Rest seems to be the real deal. Good Type II stock w/ W.R.A./G.H.D. and ordnance wheel stamp. No re-build stamp. 2 rivet "W" marked hand guard. Undated W and Winchester proof barrel. Square S marked leaf sight.

Pics to follow this weekend after clean-up!

    Thanks, Mike

Should just fall free once you remove recoil spring and guide rod.
