    1. Yes, or any other rifle on which it fits. Try it on a P14 or M1917.
    2. Insert for the chamber end, to stop dirt being swept into the magazine and trigger mechanisim when using the cleaning rod from the muzzle, with 1.

Do you have a reference that you could post or sent me on it being a chamber insert for cleaning and how to use it? Would like that for my reference to keep with the tool. Thanks

    Any other help?

I tried it and it is not for that purpose.

Anyone else have and idea? I think it is some kind of tool used to take the bolt apart like the tool for the Mausers.

The second tool has RM Pattern 1914 on it. I bet you that indicates a RIFLE, Magazine, pattern 1914. Which indicates to me that it is something associated with a RIFLE, magazine, pattern 1914. Quite what it does should be easy to establish

I am 99% sure the tool is used to strip the bolt. Used for removing the striker and spring assembly by hooking the slot over the sear engagement/cocking piece and pulling to the rear. It sure saves the workbench edge and chewing up a dime.
    Picture to follow..........

    The pictures.....Attachment 36694Attachment 36695Attachment 36693

The tool is (I believe) for pulling the cocking piece to the rear and then unscrewing the firing pin/spring and cocking piece assembly from the bolt body.
As I said, is saves "wear and tear" on a dime :-)##
