Picked this up on Friday at an antique shop. Said to be a WWII recognition model. Missing the main gun obviously but they just used metal rods so I should be able to fix it up fairly easily. It's about 6-7 inches long.

Had another pretty decent day today. It's the Extravaganza weekend for the antique flea markets so the one was full of dealers, the other had the same old guys from last year, mostly empty, not sure how it's surviving.

First one I picked up a WWI mess kit I didn't have from a guy I've gotten a lot off of the past few years.











Then I found a shell I didn't have 1.1 inch anti-aircraft round.













And then I was off to the little one I was at yesterday. Yesterday a lot of the tables were covered due to rain and a lot of the dealers weren't there. Walked up on this pair of knives, saw the one was a PAL36 and figured I'd ask despite knowing the answer. Shocked to hear $10 each or $15 for the pair. The second one isn't military but it's a Soligen German Bowie knife so for $5, why not. Someone named Ken was quite proud of his knife. It's cleaning up pretty well, the paint is off it now but the KEN is here to stay. The Bowie blade will take a lot of work to be presentable.

















The military guy actually showed up for once but his stuff has been picked over pretty well. I found a canteen and cup I didn't have yet. Not the same eras.







And I finished the day off by stopping at a very small flea market along the way. I've seen this before there but not having the pistol left it go but today negotiated a much lower price, I'll get the gun eventually, hopefully. Swedish 1907.

I have two Bowies that are like yours. I think I found they were made in Brazil. (2 different sizes). The blades are good steel but the handles are cheap plastic. I replaced the handle and guard on the larger one with some better materials. I'll take a better look at them. I don't think they had any markings.

VERY nice. They're hard to find here but I found one. Had to make my own projectile. Mine is Clark Brass and Copper. CB&C...

Walked up on this pair of knives,

The military knife...I've procured a few lately. Yours looks like one issued to pilots, they commonly used the six inch, the seven inch went to ground troops and the five inch went to rear echelon. I have a bit of all of them. I have the little Pal RH 35. The RH Pal tool is from when Pal Tool bought all of Remington's hunting knives and used them as marked, so you have the combat knives marked RH36 Pal. Yes, they're issue.

Oddly enough, having never seen one before, I found a second shell casing made into a lamp after I purchased this one. The guy that had that one is who I bought the mess kit off of. He asked me what it was and brought this lamp out which was nice but not my thing. I just looked them up online and see they are selling for $350-$395 on a place called Ordnance.com. I guess I did well for $35.

The PAL knife cleaned up pretty nice. Can't get the KEN's off it, too deep but they give it character. Hopefully Ken was the soldier, not some bumpkin after the war. The Bowie needs a lot more work.

Ken looks like it was inscribed with a dremel with one of those little engraving burrs... Still worth a fortune.

I'm sure you're aware that the more common ones to be found these days have the chamber sleeve to convert them to .380. Proper 9mm Browning Long barrels and recoil springs can be had still, I believe.

Or is the 1982 I'm seeing actually 1962? Looking at in this photo, I think it could be 1962.

I instantly thought I saw 1982, but after a few seconds, all I see is 1962.
