picked up an uncommon M1 bayonet

Found this bayonet on craigslist and learned later it was an uncommon one. It is stamped OL 1943, but it is an M1icon and not a cut down earlier bayonet. I have 3 garands and now have 2 bayonets, still looking for the third!

Anyway, I learned some stuff on another sight and since it was uncommon, thought I would share it here. Oneida Limited did not make a ton of bayonets, most were m1905s. There were very few of the M1 and even fewer of them were dated 1943, most were undated. The guard is also stamped OL. The catch is unmarked and the grips are AB 12.

Thanks! I ran across some production numbers and looks like less than 1% of the M1icon's were made by Oneida and most of these were not dated.

I don't get lucky often, but this one worked out well for me.
