2 IP trigger housings to compare
Here's a link to a IP trigger housing on GB.
M1
CARBINE PARTS - Trigger Housing + Slide IP : Other at GunBroker.com
Here's another,
M1 Carbine Trigger Housing marked "IP" : Other at GunBroker.com
Besides the added lube/drain hole on the 2nd one............
Can anyone see anything different between the 2?

Oooo! Ooooo! Pick me! Pick me! I Know! I Know!!!
The one from Modesto seems to have extra machine marks on the rear part of the right side - where the "IP" stamp is... Almost like someone had machined it and re-stamped it... Need a set of Calipers to check, but the machine marks are visible and the area seems to have been thinned down and refrinished
in the picture...
Now, do I get to got to the front the of class or get a free pint of BLO
for refinishing stocks????

You know, that guy should go to jail
this is theft just the same as putting a gun to someone's head. Imagine what an absolute jerk this guy must be? Smiles as he steals your money.

I actually believe that it meets the legal elements of fraud or possibly forgery... selling a forged item with the intent to mislead a purchaser of its identify and/or value... if he was attempting to sell a forged DiVinci painting, he would be going direct to jail once the forgery was proven... but I don't know enough about the collecting business to even make a complaint to law enforcement... being across state lines does make it a Federal case (if it met their dollar value threshold for prosecution)... just my two cents....

I'll email you Charlie with a correct pic. Send it to the good guys. That stuff is just so fraudulent.... get him locked up. Mike. N.Z.

And, they are slippery and only say that they are "IP Marked" not that they were made by Irwin Pedersen. It is only implied. It is still fraud and theft. I think that the disclaimer in the second auction was written by a lawyer. How much BS.....

Of Course, I agree with all of the above. And about the junk itself, I don't think he used any "machine work". It looks like he ground off the old ID with a disc grinder... Nothing fancy for this guy!! Not to mention the "locating hole" is in the wrong place, and drilled crooked to boot.. No drill press for this guy.. TLAR method works just fine, thank you very much.!!
