    Questions on Trigger Housings

    CMP Discussion Forum - M1 Carbine has arrived! Pics inside!

    In the above link, there is a photo (third from bottom) of a type IV (according to Riesch) stamped and soldered trigger housing with mag catch oil hole on the left side. Are these modifications common? Who performed these mods? Was this part of a post WWII conversion from M1 to M2?
