Storing Scopes
I have 2 32 scopes, an early MK2 and a MK3.
I have also a 42 and a 53 scope for the parts just in case
I mess up the lenses or something else.
What is the best way to store them?

Look at how modern telescopes are stored. In boxes, and wrapped in plastic bags with dessicant packages. You might want to very lightly wipe the mounts and screws with oil to prevent fine surface rust. The tubes and scope bodies are not steel (if I recall correctly), so they won't rust. Don't put anything on the lenses. They were "coated" at the factory and after 70 years those thin surfaces are even more delicate than when new. Keep the leather caps off, so they don't leach out tanning oils or hold moisture.

We had different sorts of protection for different climates. Temperate wet or temperate dry, warm/hot wet (Malaya) warm/hot dry (desert/Aden type stuff) and the same for cold. Wet or dry. Take your pick!

Thanks Peter and Maple Leaf.
I had not thought about the leather at all.
I will keep leather covers apart.
As for climate I would have to go for Temperate wet, and at the moment wet wet wet.
Although we do have some nice warm sun hear near Limoges.
