    Duane T. Macbeth
    Squirrel Hill and Hazelwood

    Duane T. Macbeth, 74,
    of Squirrel Hill and Hazelwood,
passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011,
after a long, hard fought battle with an extended illness. He was a very close friend of Nick Barash, of Squirrel Hill. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He loved spending the majority of his time reading and enhancing his mind. He was retired from a career in fabricating within a local mill. In his retirement, he loved following sports, especially the professional Pittsburgh teams. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Richard Macbeth. Veteran burial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. All services by the ELMER HERMAN FUNERAL HOME, John N. Bauer and Spencer D. Geibel, funeral directors, Pittsburgh, PA 15207,
    (Pennsylvania - Pittsburgh Tribune)

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.
