Duane T. Macbeth, 74,
of Squirrel Hill and Hazelwood,
passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011,
after a long, hard fought battle with an extended illness. He was a very close friend of Nick Barash, of Squirrel Hill. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He loved spending the majority of his time reading and enhancing his mind. He was retired from a career in fabricating within a local mill. In his retirement, he loved following sports, especially the professional Pittsburgh teams. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Richard Macbeth. Veteran burial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. All services by the ELMER HERMAN FUNERAL HOME, John N. Bauer and Spencer D.
