1903 Bolt Long Extractor and no Safety Lug
I have picked up a 1903 sporter chambered for 223 with a modified bolt; it appears to me that the safety lug has been removed and the extractor is longer- extending back across where the safety lug should sit into the receiver. The extractor collar is very loose (and perhaps the extractor too). If I wished to replace the extractor, is there a source for this?

FrankenSpring -- It turns out that the receiver and bolt have been modified by cutting out a section - so now the size is in line with the length of a 223. Likely the extractor is the original, and just appears to be longer because the bolt is shorter. This may explain why the safety would not properly engage on the bolt. It does fire and has a solid strike. It will extract if the round is fed with care from the magazine.
