British "Desert Storm" period 6x30 Binoculars question with pictures
These are the first pair of this type that I have seen. Probably pinched by a returning US GI from Desert Storm. Six power 6x30 unmarked as to manufacturer. Serial number 97/0563 indicates manufacture in 1997??? NSN 6650-66-140-7670 are the markings on the left side and I do not understand the marking on the right side:
Laser Filtered/at 1064mm, OD4/FOV/142 mils. Can someone explain this marking? It does have a mil scale.

NSN 6650-66-140-7670, would indicate Australian
or Australian origin.

These were being sold on e-XXX about 4 or 5 years ago. Aussie made and used.
I will say having the field of vision arc marking ('FOV 142 mils') was a nice touch.
