The MRT look OK but the date sucks. I thought I remember reading in a carbine newsletter or elsewhere that these were repro. There is a lot of repro stuff out there that looks pretty legit. Regards, Rick.

It looks like MRT 1962. Most I've seen stamped in ink are dated early 50's. - Bob

In other words, this is not a WWII sling? Right? Regards, Rick.

    Is this sling a repro?

It probably IS a WWII sling. The MRT was a mold resistant treatment that was applied to the webbing.

On the back of the snap tab are the words UNITED CARR and I have never seen words on the tabs on a WWII sling. That said, I really haven't really done any research on slings either. Regards, Rick.
