I have this pair of leather pouches which I picked up a while ago, very cheaply, but have no real idea from what country they originate or even if they are genuine or repro. They kind of look slightly German from a distance but when you look closer at them they look far too poor a quality to be of German manufacture. The stitching seems very poor quality and looks as if it may fall apart if the pouches were put to serious use. The vendor had a pile of them but he had no idea of the origin. There appears to be no markings visible on either pouch that I can see. I did wonder if they were made cheaply as reproductions for perhaps use on a film production? Other possibilities could be that they originate from one of Germany's smaller and poorer allies during WW2 or perhaps they were made post WW2 in the general style of WW2 German pouches, in Eastern Europe? I am open to any suggestions as to their origin and as to whether or not they are repros. Thanks for any info.
