    Karl,

Rifle No 424 was sent to Derbyshire Police on the 14th August 1974.

Rifle R32823 does not appear in the records, although as I have said previously that does not necessarily mean the rifle is a fake as there are some gaps in the records. The best option would be to post a lot of detailed photo's of the rifle and ask for the opinions of the likes of Roger Payneicon and Peter Laidlericon.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

    Mick,

The highest recoded envoy serial number is No 526 which is shown as being sent to Bisley although no date of despatch is recorded.

Rifle A498 was sent to store at Donnington on the 1st May 1970.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

The information will be useful to this thread.

Any information for this rifle would be great.

When purchased it came with two mags, one marked 233 as per the rest of the rifle, and one marked 377,

    Regards

Rifle G31808 doesn't appear on the conversion list.

As I have stated previously this DOES NOT mean the rifle is not genuine as there are gaps in the records. Post some detailed pics of the rifle and ask for the opinions of Roger Payneicon and Peter Laidlericon.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

    Gary,

It's just another piece in the jigsaw really although obviously if the serial number and shipping date etc are recorded in official paperwork it does authenticate the weapon. Keep in mind here we are talking about an item which when sold with its CES changes hands for £4000 plus pound here in the UKicon.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

Interesting that the records aren't complete, but not altogether unexpected. (What percentage do you reckon are WOP?)

Some evidence of this rifle's past (I can eliminate the below if it doesn't suit your purposes):

Captain Laidlericon states that this fellow was at Donnington- See this thread for more pics and Post #10 for specifics on the inspector:

    Thanks again for your efforts!

Maybe you can pencil this rifle into the addendum.

    I found an Envoy

    Greetings Simon,
When you have a chance, can you go through your records to see what you have on Envoy sn E329? It is one of the Bisley Palma Match rifles and marked but I'd be very interested in finding out any further information on it.

    Best Always,
    Michael

    Another

    Simon,
    Please check L42A1 1971, serial X32070.
Yet another X, and pretty close in the number, too.
    Thank you,
    limpetmine
