If you can't view the advertisement, it's probably due to the fact that you have to subscribe to the EE (Equipment Exchange) forums on CGN, in order to view them.

Seller says:

"Very nice condition factory produced police sniper rifle. Low serial number, all matched up on the forestock, magazine, bolt handle, butt stock and scope. Nothing bogus about this one,just as it was when relaesed from one of the midlands police departmens. What I want for this is a complete 1943, 45, or 46 dated British No4Mk1T outfit. Fair trade value $3500.00. Please don't offer up any mis matches, clones or fakes."

~Angel~ was thinking about this, but anyone have any feedback on his valuation for trades?

I have a hard time placing the same value on an Enforcer as on a all matching No4T. I realize that it is a rare and unique Lee Enfield, but a civi rifle doesn't have the same appeal (or value) to me.

Is that scope correct for it?

I'm not sure, but based upon the World of Guns web page on the Enforcer, it could be....

An Enforcer isn't a typical civilian rifle, it's an ex-police sniper rifle from the UK. It's also ALOT rarer than a 4T.

If it's legit, it's a fair deal. I'd want to see MUCH better pics before commiting though. Also, it is clearly missing the front sight which should be a Parker Hale tunnel sight.

I believe that the standard scope mounted on these rifles was a Pecar, and that Parker Hale bases were used. The receiver ring was drilled and tapped for the front block, the rear base is a replacement for the rear sight, so no mounting holes were required. The foresight would be a standard PH target sight. One version of the rear base had an integral aperture sight, where the battle sight would normally be found. In the absence of this non-adjustable aperture, I do not know what the auxiliary rear sight would be. The presence of the rear base would prevent the use of a PH5C, etc. There is a version of the 5E which will clamp on a PH type scope base.
The Enforcer is a legitimate member of the Lee Enfield family, and is a variant sniper rifle. While the rifles are certainly not common, desirability is a matter of opinion. Personally, I agree with Stevo; I would have a hard time trading a correct 4T for an Enforcer.
