danke vielmal ! Besonders Ihnen, Simon ! Es ist also doch London, die Metropolitan Police London - so eine Überraschung :-)

Irgendwie hatte ich bereits lange den Eindruck, es sei ein Gewehr der Londoner Metropolitan Police - aber ich hatte keine Info, keinen Beweis gehabt bis jetzt. Es war damals lediglich ein kurzes Telefongespräch mit dem deutschen Händler/Anbieter in Duisburg, PEW Bernd Bote.

Und ich habe es im Februar 1992 gekauft. Habe aber bis vor einigen Tagen nicht gewusst, dass die Metro London einer der 4 grössten Besteller gewesen ist.

Die Gewehrnummer 171 war Teil einer Partie von 12, die am 22. Januar 1974 an die Metropolitan Police geschickt wurde.

Rifle number 171 was part of a batch of 12 sent to the Metropolitan Police on 22nd January 1974.

I am in the fortunate position of being able to check out the serial number listings for the L42A1, Enforcer and L39A1. As a service to those who own these riflles I am offering to check a supplied serial against the recorded documentation and to pass on what info is available, conversion date, batch size, despatched to, etc.

Yes, the Ammo-Experiences are really interesting. The question of damages, which should be caused by some types of bullets, too.. . And of course the accuracy from 100-300 resp. 500 yards or more.. ? Yes, Please.

The thing to do is ask with the usual, ie serial number and model and I'll see whether my "magic" trick works you never know it might be in the pile!
