    Lend Lease Ithaca

Would it be inappropriate to inquire as to the price you paid? I'm new and don't want to step on any toes. I just purchased a Britishicon lend/lease gun in at least as nice condition as yours and don't believe it was ever issued. I'd like to find out what it's worth vs what I paid ($470).

If you got an Ithaca Lend Lease that is as nice as the one shown, You got a Screamin Deal. It should be worth in the neiborhood of $1500 to $1800. Colt LL pistols are even more. Will you show us pictures of it?

Just as soon as I learn how to use my new digital camera and how to get pics into the computer and, further, how to get them to the forum, I'd be glad to. As I said though, I don't think it was ever issued. The thing is as stiff as a board and has only a little wear on a few edges. And, a rub where someone didn't know how to remove and replace slide release and rubbed it towards the trigger. I told the seller it was worth more, but he is (was?) a friend and said he didn't have any interest in it as a collector piece. And, yes, I'll be in church for the next 20 years...

I knew he had the gun, but didn't know it was a lend/lease. We had talked about my buying it "one of these days". He said his father-in-law got it from a Britishicon officer in WWII and brought it home. Of course, that can't be so, given the markings as being released in 1952 by the British government. I guess I don't care how it got here, but the story can't be correct. I'm not sure if my friend misunderstood or was misinformed. Either way, I've got one of 39,000+ and it is a gem.
